Wildflower Golf Course: Golf Lessons and Clinics

This season we welcome PGA Member Kris Smith to Wildflower.  

Kris and his family own Ironman Golf Course on the north side of Detroit Lakes.  Kris has been raising two kids, Karter & Kate, to be accomplished golfers while he and his wife, Margery, have run junior golf programs for the past 13 years.  Kris' list of accomplishments include: 

  • 1993 Connecticut Section Junior Golf Leader
  • 2004 PGA Foundation "Growth of the Game" Recipient
  • 2004, 2006, 2007 Top 50 U.S. Kids Golf Teachers
  • 2008 Master U.S. Kids Golf Teacher
  • 2004, 2007, 2010 Dakota Chapter PGA Junior Golf Leader
  • 2012 Minnesota Section PGA Junior Golf Leader

Kris' "common sense" approach to teaching emphasizing fundamentals, athleticism and the desire to get better, has helped thousands of golfers over his 25 years as a PGA member. 

Kris will be on site at Wildflower a few days a week to teach and play.

A golf clinic can be scheduled for any size outing or family group.

We can tailor clinics or private lessons to your needs. Lessons are a great way to start your golf outing. Indoor informational evening sessions can also be arranged. Pricing is reasonable, but it depends on group size and the duration of the clinic or lesson. Clinics and lessons must be scheduled in advance.
